CA4WDC Conservation & Education Foundation logoPurpose:

The basic purpose of the Foundation is to acquire resources from both public and private sector sources to develop programs in the areas of resource conservation, four-wheel drive vehicle driving safety, public education and related areas.

California Non-profit:

The Foundation is a California (c)3 non-profit corporation.

Board of Trustees:

The Board of Trustees consists of between six and eleven members. It is made up of the president and the three vice presidents of the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, plus two Trustees-at-large, one to five trustees representing firms, agencies or individuals who have financial or in-kind contributions to the Foundation.

What we do:

The Foundation seeks grants to provide funds for conservation & education programs related to four-wheel drive recreation throughout California. Such programs are driving safety, public education and conservation projects. We also provide grants to CA4WDC clubs and individuals to help them do conservation and education projects.

CA4WDC Foundation suspends current Voyager program

The Board of Trustees of the CA4WDC Conservation and Education Foundation at the Board meeting of August 22, 2010 voted to suspend the Voyagers Program. A working group of Trustees is working to create a new educational program for children. All funds that have been donated to the Voyagers program will remain in the account.

The Board made this decision reluctantly, but the existing program has not been working well for the last couple of years. The decision to suspend the program is to allow everyone interested to step-up and reconsider the direction of the Voyagers and what educational programs are needed for our members’ children for a long-lasting and viable program.

Anyone having ideas or input regarding the Voyagers should contact Chris Storm, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
